General guidelines
  • Always measure the item flat across, never the circumference.
  • Gently smooth out wrinkles, folds and creases, being careful not to stretch the fabric or distort the item's shape.
  • Lay the item flat on an even surface.
  • Measurements defined as "REQUIRED" have to be provided in order to illustrate the fit. Required measurements are indicated in bold print.
  • Optional measurements provide a more detailed picture of the fit for your customers, and so decrease the risk of returns. They can be added individually.
  • Either metal or plastic tape measures can be used, but be aware that plastic tape measures can stretch over time and should be checked periodically against a metal ruler to ensure accuracy.
